It is with the deepest regret that the Bayport Fire Department announces the untimely passing of Ex-Captain Jim Young. Jim was an 18-year member of the Bayport Fire Department. He joined the hook and ladder company and later transferred to Engine Company. He was a career firefighter with the FDNY assigned to Engine 281 and detailed to the 15th Division. He also served with the United States Army.
Firematic services will be held at the Raynor D’Andrea Funeral home on Thursday June 30th. Jim will be buried at the Calverton National Cemetery on Friday July 1.
