[May 4, 2009, Bayport NY] The Bayport Fire Department launched it's 4th and most advanced website this past Monday.
The original website for the Bayport Fire Department was created by Ex Captains Jason Feinberg and Garry Newman in 1998. Since then the site underwent three major revisions, the current being the 4th. The new site was created by Jason Feinberg who used the same programming that is used in many poplular websites including CNN.com and Facebook. The new site will allow for guests to create online accounts and receive important information from the Department. Additionally as the site grows and becomes more interactive with the public, residents will be able to fill out online forms and include information about their residence that would assist the fire department should an emergency ever arise. Department members will enjoy higher access to the website where they can create a community network with other members to chat online and email each other. They will also have the ability to upload their own photos, videos and articles as well as take refresher tests online. |
