The Bayport Fire District and Department received its latest Heavy Rescue Vehicle replacing its 1985 GMC/Salsbury. The new truck is a 2009 Pierce 84" Velocity Walk in Rescue.
In addition to the vast array of rescue tools, like the Jaws of Life, the tuck is equiped with a Winco 35 kW Generator, Roll up doors, crew cab and telescopic flood light system. The truck is powered by a Cummins 450 hp ISM Engine and Allison 4000 Transmission.
The previous resuce truck now serves the Oak Corners New York Fire Department and pictures can be seen here.
