It is with a heavy heart that the Bayport FD announces that 42 year member, retired FDNY Lieutenant, Suffolk County Deputy Fire Chief Instructor and Veteran U.S. Marine, Edward Herting, has answered his last alarm. Our deepest condolences to Ed's entire family. He will be missed.

Wake Services being held at Raynor & D'Andrea in West Sayville this Wednesday 7-9:30 and Thursday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30. Firematic Service Thursday night 8pm. Interment on Friday at Calverton National Cemetery.

It is with deep regret we announce that 55 year member, C. Lee Rosche, has answered his last alarm on April 15, 2018. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

The Bayport Fire District is a municipality that collects taxes from the residents of Bayport for the purpose of Fire Protection.  It is represented by five elected commissioners that serve five-year terms.  The Fire District is a separate entity from the Fire Department which is a private membership non-for-profit organization.  For additional information on the Bayport Fire District or to speak with a Fire Commissioner, please call 631-472-0641

The Fire District employs a 24/7 staff of dispatchers that handle emergency communications for the Bayport, Blue-Point Fire, and Davis Park Fire Departments, as well as Community Ambulance Company.  Additionally, the Bayport Fire District handles the maintenance of vehicles for the Bayport, Blue-Point, and Patchogue Fire Departments and the Bayport-Blue Point School District.
