It is with great sorrow to announce that Joan Halleran Freeman; 91, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Bayport, NY and life member of the Bayport Fire Department Ladies Auxilary passed away on March 10, 2021.
Joan enjoyed the simple things in life never to lavish, she spent her life devoted to God and the Catholic Church. She loved and cherished her family from her brothers and sisters (there was a lot of them) her children, her grandchildren (we called her Nana) and her great-grandchildren. She loved being out in the garden planting flowers and pulling weeds. Most of all she was so full of love and compassion she could make a friend of anyone she met.
Beloved wife of the “Late” Charles Donald Freeman. Loving mother of Charles Edward Freeman of Rochester, NY, Timothy Freeman of Ocala, FL and Katharine Freeman of Ocala, FL. Cherished grandmother of Andrew Freeman of Fernandina Beach, FL and Amanda Freeman of Tamarac, FL. and great-grandmother of Emily, Kylie, and Adeline. Dear sister of the "Late" Edward Halleran, the "Late" Geraldine Magnani, the "Late" Marion Benson , the "Late" John Halleran, the "Late" William Halleran, the "Late" Patricia Hughes, Elizabeth Benson of Altamonte Springs, FL, Catherine Ramputi of Ocala, FL, and Edna O’Donnell of Islip Terrace, NY.
Family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 21st from 2 - 4:30 & 7 - 9:30 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home Bayport 683 Montauk Hwy Bayport, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 22nd at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church 175 Blue Point Ave. Blue Point, NY. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
