The Bayport Fire Department was called to a report of an apartment on fire at the Southern Meadows apartment complex in Bayport at roughly 5:30pm on Tuesday October 25, 2017.
Chief Paul Dolce was the first on scene and transmitted a working fire. BFD members were on scene in minutes and had the fire knocked down quickly. The incident was under control in less than a half hour. Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Blue Point, Sayville and Holbrook Fire departments while EMS was provided by Community Ambulance.
